A moluntain of worship with distinctive jagged ridgeline
Mt. Ryokami has jagged and strangely shaped rocks on the ridgeline. It has been known as a mountain of worship and venerating gods in the Japanese mythology. Sight from the peak is marvellous with the mountains in North Alps spreads in the distance. Hiking Mt. Ryokami requires a skill to walk places with chains and rocks although its altitude is less than 2000 meters.

Route and estimated course time:
Hinataoya -[0:30]- Kaisho -[1:30]- Kiyotaki-goya -[1:00]- Ryokami Shrine -[0:45]- Mt. Kengamine (Mt. Ryokami) -[0:35]- Ryokami Shrine -[0:40]- Kiyotaki-goya -[1:00]- Kaisho -[0:20]- Hinataoya [6 hours 20 minutes]
Note:
It is a gentle slope to Kiyotaki-goya, then it becomes steeper and there are a few chain places. Fine view is not expected until close to the peak. There are two routes from Kaisho and this sample route selects the route passing Kiyotaki-goya. It is along a stream and hikers may feel gloomy due to poor sunshine until Kiyotaki-goya. The route is narrow occasionally, so a caution is required to pass it when it is covered with fallen leaves and wet.
