A gentle shape of mountain for a walk on the mountain ridge

Mt. Makihata has a gentle shape in contrast to Mt. Tanigawa, which is a tipical rocky mountain in Joetsu area. A green field with meadow and ponds on a gentls slope becomes a flower field in peak season. There are wo routes, ridge and creek routes. The creek route is for advanced level and sometimes closed due to the route condition.

  • Hello!

I noticed the beauty of Japanese nature when I went to an English language school in the US. While staying the US, I enjoyed hiking at National Parks. I wanted visitors from different countries to have a good time here in Japan as I did in the US.
