Climb thrilling chain to step a sacred mountain
Mt. Ishizuchi is a sacred mountain and has been a place of mountain worship from acient time. As the area above the hillside is considered as sacred area, a primeval forest of beeches has been preserved as they were in ancient times. The route from ropeway station is popular but there are 4 chain places, a combined total length of 233m, along the route. If hikers walk a detour to the peak, even schoolchildren can step on the peak.

Description:
There are several chain places including three major ones on the route. The first one is 27 meters, the second one is 49 meters and the third one is 62 meters. Less experienced hikers should pass detours instead of chain places unless you are sure you can climb them.
