A deep mountain retains quiete even today
Mt. Hiragatake is a deep, independent mountain whuch requires longer approach to the trailhead. What is more, it should be a long walk since no mountain hut is available on the route (an unmanned hut for emergency only exists). High moor near the mountaintop becames flower field in early summer. The size of the high moor is equivalent to Ayame-daira in Oze, which is the most famous moor in Japan.

Note: One of the hardest mountains for hikers as the access to the trailhead is limited and there is no mountain hut on this long route. If you stay night at Ginzandaira Onsen (Okutadami-sanso, Kozanso) before hiking, they drive you Nakanomata trailhead. It shortens time to hike Mt. Hiragatake.
