A generous mountain ridge decorated with forest, plairie and water
Mt. Hachimantai, which has beautiful mountain landscapes, is the largest volcanic region in Tohoku area. It is crowded with many tourists in addition to hikers since the vicinity of the mountaintop, where only 30-minutes walk from the peak, is accessible by road.

Chausu-guchi -(0:50)- Mt. Chausu -(1:10)- Gentamori -(0:40)- Mt. Hachimantai -(1:30)- Obuka Onsen [4:10 in total]
Note: This route passess two points of superb view. For hikers who want to step the peak with minimum time, it takes 30 minutes walk from Sancho parking to the peak.
