Takao-san Day Hike (09Jan2011)
Hiking
I chose Takao-san as our second ‘family hike’ because of two reasons; could be an easy hike and could expect the view of Mt. Fuji. I hoped my daughter enjoy walking and the nice view…
View of Mt. Fuji
“Do you like Fuji-san? In this season of the year, A snow-clad Fuji-san is fabulously beautiful. Do you wanna see?”
“Yes, but I don’t walk a lot.”
Surprisingly, a three-year-old girl was aware of my thought…
We started hiking at Takao-san Station. We ride a train from Kiyotaki Station in order to shorten the walk distance for my daughter. At Kiyotaki Station, there was a long line to get the train.
As my daughter did not want to walk this time, I had to carry her on my shoulders for a long distance.
When we passed Yakuoin, she found doughnuts at a shop in the temple town and said “I wanna eat doughnuts”. I told her, “I will buy some on the way back if you walk by yourself”. Then, she walked like shown in the abobe photo.
“Do you think we can see Fuji-san today?”
“Of course. You’re doing your best, so you will have a reward for hard work.”
The main route we walked this time was good in condition. It was easy to walk even for my 3-year-old daughter. What we were surprised was a throng of people. Maybe, it was early in the New Year?
I think it was a successful hike because my daughter got used to walk mountain path and we could see Mt. Fuji.
