Police imposed a correctional fine of 50,000 yen on a mountain climber who neglected to notify a mountaineering plan and was brought off by the rescue party.
Some local governments require to submit a plan before entering mountains. A correctional fine has been regulated.
This was the first case to impose the fine to a climber.
